This interactive, case-based course will provide maternal-fetal medicine providers with the latest evidence and practical strategies for managing diabetes in pregnancy. Topics include early detection, individualized nutrition therapy, glycemic targets, CGM and insulin pump use, and emerging technologies. Registrants will receive real case examples in advance to review and prepare questions for expert discussion.

Learning Objectives:

Evaluate current strategies for early detection and diagnosis of gestational and pregestational diabetes.
Debate optimal glycemic targets and treatment thresholds during pregnancy using the latest evidence.
Apply individualized medical nutrition therapy and insulin regimens, considering metabolic, cultural, and social factors.
Integrate data from continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump technologies into clinical decision-making.
Assess the role of emerging therapies, including GLP-1 receptor agonists and long-acting insulins, in the management of diabetes before and during pregnancy.
Develop remote monitoring strategies and understand billing and implementation frameworks for virtual diabetes care in pregnancy.
Engage in case-based discussions to refine real-world decision-making regarding advanced diabetes technologies in pregnancy.
