Dr. Ramos is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Ramos completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UCSD. She is currently fellowship director for the UCSD Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship and Vice Chair for Education for the department.
Her research has focused on the medical complications of pregnancy in particular Diabetes in pregnancy and she has published over 50 peer reviewed manuscripts. She is the director of the Diabetes and Pregnancy Program and oversees the clinical care of pregnant people with pregestational and gestational diabetes.
