Kimberley Lepe, M.S., is a current second year medical student at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Biomedicine from UC Riverside and her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA. Her academic journey has been shaped by a strong commitment to advancing women’s health and addressing healthcare disparities in underserved communities.
Ms. Lepe’s research centers on maternal and obstetric outcomes, with current projects under the mentorship of Dr. Leonard Soloniuk. Her current interests focus on maternal care with complex medical conditions, and optimizing anesthesia management for both mother and baby. She has presented her research at both national and international conferences, including the Graphic Medicine International Conference in Ireland and now the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Beyond research, Ms. Lepe is actively engaged in medical education, mentorship, and leadership. She serves as a Professionalism Representative on the Medical School Council and has mentored pre-medical students through UCR’s Pathway Programs. She is also a board member of the OB-GYN Student Interest Group and Recruitment Chair for the American Medical Women’s Association at UCR, roles that highlight her dedication to advocacy, mentorship, and the advancement of women’s health.
Ms. Lepe aspires to a career in academic medicine, integrating clinical practice, research, and education to improve outcomes for women and families.
