Dr. Ahmet Baschat is director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Fetal Therapy and Obstetric Ultrasound, a Board certfied specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medcine and professor in Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. His areas of clinical expertise include prenatal diagnosis, fetal medicine and fetal therapy of a wide range of conditions including twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), congenital diaphragmatic hernia and spina bifida. In addition, Dr Baschat is an expert in placental dysfunction affecting maternal health in the form or pre-eclampsia as well as fetal growth restriction. He is the recipient of the Ian Donald Gold Medal of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology for his scientific contributions to the advancement of diagnostic ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
