Dr. Cassandra Heiselman is currently a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic, and APD of the Cleveland Clinic Akron General OBGYN Residency. She was previously the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Medicine and an Associate Professor at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University (NY), where she also completed MFM fellowship. Her schooling includes Boston University (BA with distinction), Tulane's School of Public Health (MPH/Delta Omega Honorary Society), and Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (DO). She completed OB/GYN residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. Her research interests include opioid use disorder in pregnancy, syphilis in pregnancy, fetal heart rate signal processing and machine learning; stress, stigma, social determinants of health and perinatal experiences and outcomes; birth satisfaction; hypertensive disorder of pregnancy; and maternal mental health.
