Sara Rahman, MD is a third-year OBGYN resident at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. After completing her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Sara spent two years working as an HIV researcher, tester, and counselor at Project BRIEF at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Her stigmatized patients were mostly from under-served communities, and advocating for her patients ignited a passion that led her to pursue a career in medicine.
She graduated with High Distinction from the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in 2018. During her medical training, Sara discovered an interest in video-based education for patients and health care providers. As a resident at George Washington University Hospital, she was awarded the GW Alumni Fund Research Grant for her Induction of Labor Video project. Sara was also presented with the 2020 GW OBGYN Research Award. Sara is passionate about education and hopes to continue to conduct research in this area as she continues on her career.
