Leah Chen, MD is a second-year OBGYN resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Magee-Womens Hospital. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. Dr. Chen is dedicated to pursuing a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, with a focus on advancing research and improving outcomes for pregnant and postpartum patients. As a resident, she has especially valued the many opportunities to think through complex obstetric cases and comprehensively address patient needs throughout all stages of pregnancy. Her research interests currently center on addressing critical challenges in maternal health, including sepsis detection and postpartum diabetes screening.
