Virali Patel, BS

Medical Research Scholars Program Fellow
Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health

Virali Patel is a fourth-year medical student at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She is currently participating in the Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a year-long clinician-scientist training program for medical students. At the NIH, she conducts research under the mentorship of Dr. Katherine Grantz, focusing on maternal cardiovascular outcomes during labor and delivery as well as patterns of fetal growth in high-risk pregnancies. She plans to apply to obstetrics and gynecology residency programs next year and is interested in a career that integrates clinical care and research to advance maternal and fetal health.
