Misa Hayasaka, MD, is a Research Scholar in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), Norfolk, Virginia, since July 2024. Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (2021) and as a General Clinical Oncologist by The Japanese Board of Cancer Therapy (2023). Graduated with an MD from Asahikawa Medical University, Japan, in 2016.
Professional experience includes maternal and perinatal care in underserved regions of Japan, contributing to the implementation of remote prenatal care systems. Current research focuses on public health, healthcare disparities, and social determinants of health in obstetrics and gynecology.
