Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Anna Eberwein is a second year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her undergraduate training at Vanderbilt University in 2023, and then moved to rural Angola between 2023-2024 to work as a research intern in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Kalukembe Hospital, where she spearheaded work on Hepatitis B mother to child transmission, uterine rupture, and obstetric fistula. At Mount Sinai she is a clinic manager for Mount Sinai Human Rights Clinic, a spanish translator at the East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership, and leads to OBGYN student interest group. She has first author publications in Disease Models and Mechanisms and Plos One.
