Emily B. Rosenfeld, DO, FACOG, is an instructor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Biostatistics and Epidemiology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Rosenfeld completed her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Rutgers, where she did research work in treating postpartum hypertensive disorders. Before joining Rutgers, Dr. Rosenfeld completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Medical College. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care and working with her patients to navigate difficult circumstances.
As a physician-scientist, Dr. Rosenfeld has a strong interest in improving pregnancy outcomes. Her research has centered on enhancing antepartum and postpartum blood pressure control using remote patient monitoring in those with hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. She has shared her findings through numerous regional and national research presentations. As the Principal Investigator of the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Perinatal Research Consortium, she leads the charge in several NIH- and industry-sponsored clinical trials. In addition, she holds an NIH K award to study remote patient monitoring during pregnancy and an NIH LRP award for her study of tight blood pressure control in the postpartum period. Dr. Rosenfeld is also the national principal investigator for the PREPARE study, which investigates first-trimester biomarkers to predict preeclampsia.
