As an Assistant Professor in the Division of Precision Medicine in the Department of Medicine at NYUGSOM, my research is centered around digital precision medicine - which aims to combine digital health tools (wearables, biosensors, mHealth apps) and computational modeling to discover novel data-driven insights and 'digital biomarkers' for chronic diseases. We accomplish this via novel applications of data science tools (machine learning, AI, bioinformatics, and statistics) to digital health data.

I am a recipient of the 2024 American Heart Association Second Century Early Faculty Independence award where we will study the potential of wearables and AI in identifying early digital biomarkers of pregnancy complications such as hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and gestational diabetes.
