Dr. Erkan Kalafat is a specialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility, currently working at the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Koc Hospital. He also holds an adjunct professorship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he contributes to research and education in his field. Dr. Kalafat's educational background includes a double major in Statistics and Computer Science alongside his medical degree. Dr. Kalafat serves as a Statistical Consultant to Ultrasound in Obstetrics and as the Scientific Editor of the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His research interests in the field of REI has a focus on the modeling of time-lapse data and the application of computer vision techniques to embryo images, and development of data-driven decision aid algorithms.
