Western University of Health Sciences
Anna Bishop is a third-year medical student at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific–Northwest. She earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Boston University. Anna is passionate about women’s reproductive health and rights, with clinical and research interests in contraception and patient-centered care.
Her past experiences working in an abortion clinic in Boston strengthened her commitment to advocacy and equity in women’s health. Anna also served as Co-President of both the OB/GYN Interest Group and the American Medical Women’s Association chapter at her medical school, and she was on the leadership board of Medical Students for Choice, where she worked to expand access to comprehensive reproductive education.
Outside of medicine, Anna loves skiing, backpacking, and running the trails of Forest Park in Portland with her dachshund–heeler mix, Sydney. She also has a lifelong passion for music and performance, having trained in opera and musical theater.
