Lihong Mo, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UC Davis Health. Her clinical focus is on managing high-risk pregnancies, with particular interest in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, multiple gestations, preterm birth prevention, and the use of technology‐enabled maternal care.
Dr. Mo earned her medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, and subsequently completed a PhD in Experimental Pathology at Duke University Medical Center. She then undertook her obstetrics & gynecology residency at UCSF (Fresno) and a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at UC Davis, where she remained as faculty after graduating in 2023.
In her research, Dr. Mo is passionate about bridging clinical practice and data science. She explores new ways to apply machine learning and advanced data analytics to perinatal medicine, striving to improve prediction, prevention, and decision support in maternal and fetal care.
