Adwoa Baffoe-Bonnie is a fourth-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine currently applying into residency in obstetrics and gynecology. She recently completed her residency interviews and is passionate about advancing maternal health through clinical care, research, and mentorship.
Adwoa earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests center on preterm birth prevention and equitable obstetric outcomes. Adwoa was selected for the inaugural class of SMFM’s Medical Student Scholars in 2025 and is thrilled to return to the Pregnancy Meeting this year to present her research on the risk of spontaneous preterm birth following second-stage cesarean delivery.
