i) Do We Need Targeted OB ICUs? a) Case examples from different institutions of OB ICU or High Risk OB monitoring units on L&D (i.e. Texas vs Hopkins vs NYC) b) What should we be comfortable w/ managing on L&D? (cardine gtts, low dose pressors, DKA, NIV, etc) c) Space/staffing considerations (what are some limitations w/ nursing, RT, space, etc) d) How can we ensure the sustainability of these models in the absence of a dedicated OB-intensivist?
ii. What is the Best Model for OB Rapid Response? a) Who should run an OB code?
iii. How Do We Measure Quality Metrics in Maternal Critical Care? a) How do we measure improvement in maternal outcomes as a result of OB critical care services? (ICU transfers, early warning scores, etc)
