This cutting-edge postgraduate course explores the expanding frontier of innovative fetal medical therapies aimed at improving pregnancy and neonatal outcomes. Through a series of expert-led, case-based lectures, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of pharmacologic, molecular, and genetic interventions for a wide range of fetal conditions—from congenital heart disease and cystic fibrosis to lysosomal storage disorders and fetal anemia. The course features a multidisciplinary faculty of leaders in maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, and fetal surgery, offering practical insights into emerging therapies, evolving evidence, and real-world implementation challenges. Interactive panel discussions will foster dialogue on clinical controversies, ethical considerations, and future directions in fetal therapy.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the current and emerging medical therapies available for fetal conditions, including pharmacologic, genetic, and molecular approaches.
  • Evaluate the evidence supporting in-utero treatment strategies for conditions such as cystic fibrosis, SMA, cardiac anomalies, and lysosomal storage disorders.
  • Identify the indications, mechanisms, and limitations of therapies such as IVIG, mTOR inhibitors, antiarrhythmics, and enzyme replacement.
  • Discuss the role of multidisciplinary collaboration in optimizing outcomes for complex fetal conditions.
  • Apply a structured approach to counseling families and managing fetal therapy cases in diverse clinical settings.
