My name is Elizabeth Buschur, MD, and I am an Associate Professor of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at The Ohio State University. I am the director of the Endocrine Disorders in Pregnancy Clinic as well as the Type 1 Diabetes Transition Clinic for young adults. In those roles, I have experience managing complicated patients with diabetes using a variety of insulin delivery methods and continuous glucose monitoring techniques. I am completed Internal Medicine residency, fellowship training in Metabolism, Endocrinology, and Diabetes as well as a Women’s Health fellowship at University of Michigan to focus on endocrine care of obstetric and postpartum women. I am currently the site Principal Investigator for the Hybrid Closed-Loop Therapy in Pregnancies Complicated by Type 1 Diabetes funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I am also the site Principal Investigator for an upcoming study analyzing the risk of T1D in offspring who are at high risk of T1D based on first-degree family member with the disease funded by the Helmsley Charitable Trust. I am also Principal Investigator of several continuous glucose monitoring system studies in pregnant women in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
