Senior Manager, Advocacy

Samantha Berg, MPH joined SMFM in August 2022 and is currently the senior manager of advocacy. She oversees SMFM's State Liaison Network and the Data to Action and Training Activation (DATA) Academy, and manages a policy portfolio that includes reproductive health, maternal health surveillance programs, maternal mental health, substance use disorder in pregnancy, and more. Samantha previously worked at Power to Decide where she supported state policy and advocacy efforts to advance contraceptive access and telehealth policy, including developing and maintaing tools and resources for the Advancing Contraceptive Access Toolkit. Samantha holds a Master of Public Health and Certificate in Sexuality, Sexual, and Reproductive Health from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Peace and Justice Studies from Tufts University.
