Elaine Duryea, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Chief of Obstetrics at Parkland Health and Hospital System. She completed medical school and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern and Parkland and then received advanced training in maternal-fetal medicine through a fellowship at UT Southwestern before joining the faculty in 2016. She has experience in medical informatics and has a passion for clinical outcomes research. She is a dual-PI for a large multi-center PCORI contract examining the impact of virtual care to improve postpartum care. She has received teaching awards, delivered scores of presentations, contributed to the landmark textbook Williams Obstetrics, and published numerous academic articles.
