Yalda Afshar, MD, PhD is an associate professor in MFM and physician-scientists at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. She is the co-director of the UCLA Cardio-Obstetrics program. Her translational and clinical research focuses on normal and abnormal placentation and congenital heart disease in the fetus and the pregnant person.
