Dr. Mustafa is the Director of Fetal Surgery and the Director of the Placenta Accreta Spectrum Program at Indiana University and Riley Children’s Hospital.
She also serves as the Director of the Ultrasound Elective, through which she has trained numerous students, residents, and fellows in both the basic and advanced fundamentals of obstetric ultrasound.
She is a national and international speaker and an invited active member of the SMFM Publication Committee, SMFM Practice Management Committee, NAFTNet Steering Committee, NAFTNet Education Committee, PAS2 Steering Committee, and the Fetal Heart Society Education Committee.
Dr. Mustafa is an active physician-scientist with numerous publications in fetal diagnosis and therapy. She has received multiple grants and currently serves as PI and co-PI on several collaborative international research projects. Her clinical and research interests include medical and surgical therapy for complex fetal conditions, multiple gestations, and innovative ultrasound applications such as first-trimester imaging, fetal echocardiography, fetal neurosonography, and 3D/4D imaging for abnormal fetal and placental conditions.
