Stephanie Pierce, MD, MS is an Associate Professor in the Section of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma/OU Health. She completed an OB/GYN residency at Case Western-MetroHealth and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. Dr. Pierce is board-certified in General OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her clinical and research interests include substance use disorders in pregnancy, as well as obesity and diabetes in pregnancy and their effects on the fetus and neonate. Dr. Pierce serves as Principal Investigator and Site Principal Investigator for multiple ongoing NIH-funded multi-center clinical trials. She is an enthusiastic member of several statewide initiatives to address substance use in pregnancy, including the Oklahoma Maternal Health Task Force and the Oklahoma Mothers and Newborns Affected by Opioids (OMNO) initiative, for which she is the OB Medical Director. At the University of Oklahoma she is the Medical Director of the STAR Prenatal Clinic, which is a clinic providing compassionate, collaborative prenatal care for women with substance use disorders.
