Dr. Sarah Kopp is a third-year categorical pediatrics resident at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Davidson College and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She is pursuing a career in pediatric cardiology, with a particular interest in fetal cardiology. Her research has focused on the intersection of social determinants of health and maternal-fetal outcomes, including previous work on breastfeeding rates and preterm birth. Currently, her work explores these themes within pediatric cardiology, specifically examining the impact of special delivery units on maternal and neonatal outcomes in pregnancies complicated by critical congenital heart defects. She is the recipient of the Research Innovation in Support of Excellence (RISE) Award that supported this project. Dr. Kopp is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
