Patience Timi, MD is currently a third-year resident physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She was born and raised in Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park for her undergraduate degree and went to Emory University School of Medicine to complete her medical degree. Dr. Timi has a strong passion for advancing maternal health equity. Her work and research focus on the intersection of social determinants of health, community health, and maternal morbidity outcomes. She is committed to addressing systemic disparities in obstetric care and aspires to build a career in community and/or global health, where she can contribute to improving maternal outcomes and transforming the statistics that currently burden women and families. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her family.
