Josiah “Seth” Hawkins, M.D., M.B.A., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in maternal-fetal medicine.
Dr. Hawkins earned his medical degree at McGill University. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and received advanced training in maternal-fetal medicine through a fellowship at UT Southwestern. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from McGill.
Dr. Hawkins is an enthusiastic teacher of learners at all levels and currently serves as an Assistant OBGYN Clerkship Director. In recognition of his teaching, he has received a faculty nomination to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society (2025), the UT Southwestern Department of OBGYN Outstanding Faculty Teacher Award (2024, 2016 and 2013), the Association of Professors in Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence in Teaching Award (2023), the Council in Resident Education in Obstetrics & Gynecology (CREOG) teaching award (2020, Oakland California) and the UT Southwestern Department of OBGYN Core Clerkship Teaching Award (2013).
