Isabelle Von Kohorn, MD, PhD, is Chief Medical Officer at Pomelo Care. Dr. Von Kohorn is an experienced physician, educator, and leader in neonatology. Prior to joining Pomelo, she spent over eleven years at Holy Cross Health, part of the Trinity Healthcare system, and a major community birth hospital affiliated with Children’s National Health Center. During her tenure, she served as Chief of Neonatology and Medical Director of the NICU. She also spent four years as Clinical Assistant Professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Earlier in her career, Dr. Von Kohorn worked as Program Officer at the National Academy of Medicine, where she was part of the Roundtable on Value- and Science-Driven Healthcare, which convened cross-functional stakeholders to advance implementation of The Learning Healthcare System. Dr. Von Kohorn completed a Clinical Fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, where she also completed her internship and residency.
She received her AB in Public & International Affairs from Princeton University, an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and a PhD in Investigative Medicine from the Yale School of Medicine.
