Dr. Devangi D. Mahtani, MD, is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she gained extensive experience in comprehensive women’s healthcare. Her areas of expertise include obesity medicine and cardio-obstetrics.

Dr. Mahtani’s research focuses on cardio-obstetrics, particularly valvular heart disease, peripartum cardiomyopathy, and pulmonary hypertension in pregnancy, with the goal of developing clinically actionable tools that enhance early risk identification, guide multidisciplinary management, and support evidence-based decision-making for pregnant patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
