Dr. Sarah Shea is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and the third year Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts and completed her medical school training at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She went on to complete an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. After completion of residency in 2018, she elected to stay at the Medical University of South Carolina for a Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship and is currently in her third and final year of the fellowship.
Dr. Shea’s interests include preeclampsia and gestational hypertension, multiple gestations, fetal growth restriction, and the morbidly adherent placenta. After fellowship, she hopes to remain in academics with the focus on becoming an Academic Clinician.
