Ruth Turkson, MD is a third-year Family Medicine resident at the Southwest Illinois Family Medicine Residency, affiliated with St. Louis University. She is passionate about full-scope family medicine, with special interests in maternal health and health equity. Her research explores how social and structural factors shape pregnancy outcomes, particularly hypertensive disorders in pregnancy. Ruth is dedicated to improving care for underserved communities through collaboration, advocacy, and patient-centered care.
