Jeesun Lee, MD, PhD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Gyeongsang National University College of Medicine, Jinju, Republic of Korea. She is a specialist in maternal–fetal medicine with a clinical and research focus on high-risk pregnancy and pregnancy-related complications.
Dr. Lee’s research centers on the long-term maternal and offspring outcomes associated with adverse pregnancy conditions, including hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, gestational diabetes, chronic maternal diseases, and recurrent pregnancy loss. She has extensive experience using large-scale population-based databases, such as the Korean National Health Insurance Service and family-linked cohorts, as well as hospital-based clinical cohorts, to investigate cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurodevelopmental outcomes across the life course.
Her current work integrates epidemiologic methods with precision medicine approaches, aiming to improve risk stratification and long-term surveillance strategies for women and children affected by complicated pregnancies. Dr. Lee is actively involved in clinical care, education, and research, and has presented her work at national and international scientific meetings.
