Amin Tavakoli is currently a 2nd year Maternal Fetal Medicine fellow at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his Ob/Gyn residency at University of Southern California - Los Angeles Medical Center (LAC+USC). He earned his MD degree from David Geffen School of Medicine (UCLA) in 2020 and his Bachelor of Science degree from University of California, Santa Barbra in 2013.
He was born in Iran and has been living in Southern California since moving to the United States at the age of 8. His hobbies include cooking, playing soccer/basketball, and traveling with his wife, son, and two dogs. His past research has involved peripartum IV fluid management, substance use disorders in pregnancy, pelvic floor disorders, patient education, management of gynecologic cancers, placental accrete spectrum, and obstetric anal sphincter injuries.
