Resident
UCSF
Ivonne Verduzco, M.D., is a third-year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at the University of California, San Francisco. Originally from the Coachella Valley in Southern California, Dr. Verduzco completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley before earning her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
At UCSF, Dr. Verduzco serves as Advocacy Chief and is the co-creator of the UCSF OBGYN Advocacy Fellowship. Her research focuses on diabetes care during pregnancy, and she is currently the principal investigator of a new randomized controlled trial aimed at redefining intrapartum glycemic management. As a future Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, she hopes to address maternal health disparities for communities historically overlooked by the medical system.
In her free time, Dr. Verduzco can be found running with her co-residents or exploring new places on road trips with her wife and their dog, Rocky.
