Maxine Slater (she/her) is a third-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience from Brown University, which was likewise her undergraduate institution. With nearly seven years in Providence, Maxine has valued the opportunity to deepen her engagement with the local community throughout her medical training.
As an aspiring women’s health provider, Maxine holds research interests in expanding access to reproductive and obstetric care, promoting vaccine uptake during pregnancy, and improving maternal-fetal health outcomes by engaging non-birthing partners during perinatal care.
Outside of medicine, Maxine enjoys exploring new restaurants, singing, and traveling to visit friends.
