Celeste Durnwald MD is a Professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Durnwald is the Director of the Perinatal Diabetes Program at the University of Pennsylvania and High Risk Services at the Helen O. Dickens Center for Women’s Health. She is also the program director of the MFM fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Durnwald has served as site-PI for NICHD funded multicenter trials evaluating treatment strategies for individuals with type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes. She has also led Helmsley-funded studies focusing on diabetes technology, such as the GLAM study, IMAGINE study and the T1D Pregnancy & Me study. She serves on multiple advisory boards that has shaped clinical guidelines and advanced care models for pregnant individuals with diabetes using technology.
