Dr. Victoria Boyd, DO is a third year Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow at Geisinger in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Boyd completed a BA degree at Hamilton College in biochemistry and molecular biology, graduating with honors. She then went on to complete her DO degree at the A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completion of her medical school training, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Geisinger and she stayed at Geisinger for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship.
Dr. Boyd's primary interests lie in clinical patient care with an emphasis on patient quality and safety. Her portfolio includes improving maternal and morbidity conferences, studying the impact of obesity on pregnancy outcomes and using the electronic health record to improve data abstraction for research. Quality initiatives include decreasing surgical site infections after cesarean and decreasing the nulliparous term singleton vertex cesarean rate.
