Cassidy O’Sullivan, MD, is a third-year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Her academic interests center on abnormal placentation and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, with a particular focus on risk reduction strategies to improve maternal morbidity and mortality.
Dr. O’Sullivan is actively involved in resident leadership and institutional quality initiatives. She serves on the residency program’s Quality and Safety Committee and has been selected to serve as Academic Chief Resident in the upcoming academic year, reflecting her commitment to education and academic excellence within residency training.
In recognition of her dedication to teaching, Dr. O’Sullivan has received a resident teaching award from Sidney Kimmel Medical College for two consecutive years. She plans to pursue fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and aims to integrate clinical care, education, and research to advance maternal health outcomes.
Outside of work, Dr. O'Sullivan enjoys spending time with her family including her 6 month old son, painting, crocheting, and spending time outdoors hiking and cycling.
