Anne Claire Burghard is a fourth-year medical student at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her BA in Biology from Barnard College of Columbia University. She plans to pursue a career in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, with a commitment to supporting medically complex patients throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Ms. Burghard has a wide range of research experience in both clinical and bench settings related to Obstetrics and Gynecology, including studies on polycystic ovary syndrome and Group B Streptococcus in pregnancy. Her current research centers on optimizing the management of pregnant patients with opioid use disorder.
