Asia Gandy, MD is an OBGYN resident at UCSF who will start Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her clinical and research interests center on high-risk pregnancy, equitable obstetric care, and addressing the social and structural factors that shape maternal health outcomes. With a background as a volunteer doula, Dr. Gandy is particularly committed to patient-centered care, advocacy, and improving experiences for Black birthing people and other marginalized communities. Her current scholarly work includes fetal imaging and management of complex obstetric conditions, alongside quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving clinical care delivery.
