Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Soroka University Medical Center, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel
I am Dr. Shir Zagdon-Keidar, MD, a second-year resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Soroka University Medical Center, affiliated with Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. Soroka, located in Beer Sheva, is the largest tertiary medical institution in the Southern region, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care and serving a diverse patient population. My residency enables me to gain extensive experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and gynecologic surgeries while actively engaging in academic and teaching activities.
My professional journey is guided by a passion for maternal-fetal medicine and women’s health. I am particularly interested in research on postoperative recovery, pelvic floor surgery, and recurrent pregnancy loss. By integrating clinical practice with academic research, I strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to advancing knowledge in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
As I progress through residency, I am eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead. My experiences at Soroka, together with my academic background at the University of Debrecen, shape my commitment to promoting women’s health and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care. I look forward to further contributing to clinical excellence and the well-being of women in Israel and beyond.
