Giulia Bonanni, MD, is a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, working at the Fetal Care and Surgery Center (FCSC) of Boston Children’s Hospital. She earned her MD with honors in Rome, Italy. She is is currently participating in the 2026 OB/GYN Match.
Her research focuses on advancing maternal-fetal medicine by addressing complex conditions such as placental disorders, twin pregnancy complications, and fetal congenital anomalies. Giulia is deeply committed to fostering evidence-based practice, bridging the gap between research and clinical application, and advocating for patient inclusion in registries and clinical trials. She actively promotes interdisciplinary collaborations to develop tailored guidelines for maternal-fetal interventions, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and advance the field.
Beyond her research, Giulia enjoys mentoring trainees, engaging in community outreach, and spending quality outdoor time with her husband Francesco and their growing family.
