Medical Student
Oregon Health & Science University
Jill K. Kumasaka is a third-year MD/MPH candidate at Oregon Health & Science University with a growing interest in global maternal health and reproductive justice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Global Health from the University of Washington in 2022.
Jill’s passion for medicine and public health was shaped by her work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and as a medical scribe at a community health center. At OHSU, she has continued to pursue these interests through leadership roles in the Health Care Equity Fair, the Bridges Collaborative Care Clinic, and the Human Rights Clinic—initiatives focused on advancing health equity and serving marginalized populations.
Jill aspires to a career in obstetrics and gynecology with a focus on providing comprehensive reproductive healthcare to underserved communities, both domestically and globally.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring local coffee shops, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.
