Dr. Heidi Leftwich is currently an Associate Professor and the Fellowship Director for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, where she has been in practice for 11 years. She is the Division Chief of Research for the Department of Obstetrics and Gyneoclogy at UMass Chan. She graduated from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Connecticut and maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her professional interests include clinical research, preeclampsia, prenatal diagnosis. . She serves as the outgoing Chair of the Society of Maternal-Fetal medicine Clinical Education committee and is actively involved with teaching on the medical student, resident and fellow level.
