Keren Kogan-Houri, MD, LLB is a medical resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. She received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BA.Med.Sc.) from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), graduating summa cum laude. Her combined background in law and medicine has enriched her perspective on women’s health, ethics, and patient advocacy.
Before her medical career, Dr. Kogan-Houri practiced as a medical malpractice and civil-commercial attorney and served as a legal clerk at the Supreme Court of Israel. She later transitioned fully into medicine, completing her internship at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, working as a physician assistant in the Urgent Care and Trauma Center at Assuta Ashdod Hospital, and serving as a research assistant at Soroka Medical Center. At Hadassah, she is engaged in clinical care, teaching, and research with interests in pelvic organ prolapse surgery and pregnancy outcomes following cervical cerclage. At the SMFM 2026 Pregnancy Meeting, she is presenting results from a large cohort study examining indication-driven differences in pregnancy outcomes.
