Dr. Kristina Carter is an assistant professor of OB/GYN at the University of TN, Knoxville and MFM at High Risk Obstetrical Consultants. She is a native of Minnesota and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict. Dr. Carter completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and residency at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania followed by fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Wake Forest University. She joined High Risk Obstetrical Consultants in Knoxville, TN in 2015.
Dr. Carter is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Complex Family Planning. Her areas of interest include preterm birth, cervical shortening, prenatal diagnostic testing, and multiple gestations. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
