Dr. Sara Giuliano is a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Fondazione Policlinico Gemelli IRCCS in Rome, Italy, and a recent Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yale School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree with honors from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2021.
Her clinical training encompasses oncologic gynecology, general gynecology, and obstetrics, with a particular focus on maternal–fetal medicine. She has extensive experience in acute care and multidisciplinary settings.
Dr. Giuliano’s research interests started when she was just a medical student, and they include placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), recurrent pregnancy loss and severe maternal morbidity (SMM).
She is currently completing the USMLE examinations with the goal of pursuing a Maternal–Fetal Medicine fellowship in the United States, where she hopes to further integrate clinical care and research in high-risk obstetrics.
