Alexander Boscia, MD MS is a second-year maternal-fetal medicine fellow at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed his residency training at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center MacDonald Womens Hospital in Cleveland, OH and received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Prior to his medical education, Alex received a Master of Science in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor of Science in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.
He is currently working with faculty mentor, Dr. Christina Megli, at the Magee-Womens Research Institute with research experiences spanning both clinical and translational/basic science work with interests including antibiotic use in pregnancy, breastmilk immunology, onset of lactogenesis, periviability, thrombocytopenia in pregnancy, and early diabetes screening.
