Sarah Heerboth, MD

Fellow
University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill

Dr. Sarah Heerboth is a third-year fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah. Her work is grounded in a commitment to maternal mental health and pregnancy loss/birth trauma. She is particularly focused on understanding and addressing the ways that structural inequities, chronic stress, and discrimination shape pregnancy experiences and outcomes. Dr. Heerboth is dedicated to advancing compassionate, equitable, and evidence-based care for high-risk pregnancies and will begin her career in academic medicine at the University of Utah in Fall 2026.
