Cassandra Duffy MD MPH is an attending Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. Following an undergraduate degree in the history of art from Johns Hopkins Universtiy and two years of service as a community health development volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, she completed her medical training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She then moved to New York City for residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine both at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also holds a Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Duffy serves as Director of Perinatal and Obstetric Palliative Care at BIDMC and is a member of the BIDMC Ethics Advisory Committee. Her sholarly interests focus on clinical obstetrics, prenatal diagnosis, multifetal pregnancy and reproductive health. In addition to her faculty position at BIDMC, she sees patients at the Fetal Care & Surgery Center at Boston Children's Hospital to provide maternal-fetal medicine consultations and fetal intervention.
